Lle Llais: Children's Voices, Arts-Based Practice and TrACE-Informed Education

The Lle Llais ("Voice Place") project set out to understand how children experience belonging — and how trauma and adverse childhood experiences (TrACEs) shape that sense of place and identity.
Working across communities in Anglesey, the project adopted a trauma-informed approach, supporting children through a programme of arts and nature-based activities designed to give them a safe and expressive space in which to articulate their experiences of place, belonging and wellbeing.
The Report
The full Lle Llais 2025 research report is available in both English and Welsh. It was launched at the Learning Well — Trauma and ACE-Informed Education in Wales conference on 12 March 2026, contributing to the national conversation on advancing TrACE-informed practice in Welsh schools.
